>> we are back. new state legislation would give the homeless and california much more power to roam freely. the build of a homeless bill of rights is spearheaded by san francisco assemblyman tom ammiano . it will allow the homeless to rest, sleep or live in motor vehicles and solicit donations in public. the measure would also let them collect recyclables as a means of employment. cities would have to provide the homeless with health and hygiene centers with the restrooms and showers. the 24 hours a day seven days a week. the proposal passed an assembly committee yesterday. as for will cover the cost a spokesman for ammiano said at this point they did not know. >> continuing developments in the ricin investigation in which president obama and

county fire district says it may need to close down to additional fire stations. this comes a few months after it shut down for others. kron fours mike pelton is live in pleasant hill with more on the story. mike. >> this is certainly james, not what residents in this community would like to hear. by closing down to additional fire station that would help them balance the budget. you can blame this on a lower-than-expected tax revenue. the district says a tentative plan to close the station in july and next january, this of course, comes months after a failed ballot proposition that closed for stations. in walnut creek, a clayton, lafayette and martinez are expected to save the district six-$8 million this year but will also decrease response time as far as the two additional closures. we do not know which to stations or which communities will be impacted. another meeting is scheduled for may 7th to discuss the issue and schedule a public hearing.
